A Taste of Washington State
Washington state is a thriving agricultural region with diverse growing climates and rich soils. This means that it provides the perfect growing conditions year-round for various crops, including:
Table and wine grapes
Apples (Washington state is the nation’s leading producer!)
Cherries
Berries
Mushrooms
Apricots
Onions
The state’s coastline also provides an abundance of seafood, while other parts of the region are known for cattle ranching and dairy farming. With such a rich and diverse culinary landscape, it’s no surprise that restaurants like Lone Point Cellars emphasize fresh, local ingredients and regional specialties!
Vineyard-to-Table Dining at Lone Point Cellars
Lone Point Cellars sits on 200 acres of land in North Central Washington. This includes The River House and Cottages, our brand-new RV park, vineyards, orchard, and of course, our vineyard restaurant.
Estate-Grown Fruits
We want locals and travelers to experience the finest of Washington state with our vineyard-to-table dining, which starts with our estate produce. Our orchard has been lovingly tended since 1984. We grow a variety of delicious fruits in our beloved orchard, including sweet cherries and berries. We love to incorporate our homegrown fruits into Lone Point Cellars’ gift baskets – and our locally-inspired menu! For example, our Estate Meat & Cheese Board combines traditional and local favorites, offering guests a selection of artisan cheeses and cured Italian meats, accompanied by our vineyard-grown berries. It even includes Lone Point Cellars’ estate honey for a sweet taste of Washington state!
Fresh Fruits and Vegetables
Fresh produce is a significant highlight on local menus in Western Australia. You’ll recognize this from the moment you experience our vineyard-to-table dining at Lone Point Cellars. From our pizzas to plates, we incorporate produce throughout our entire menu. Salads with sweet apples and cranberries, pizzas featuring mushrooms and dates, desserts with various fruits – you’ll taste freshness in every bite with our menu!
Vineyard-to-Table Dining and Wines
Did you know that Washington state is the country’s second-largest wine producer? It’s all thanks to the state’s varied microclimates, which provide long growing seasons and allow a wide range of grape varietals to thrive. Sustainable practices from wineries like Lone Point Cellars also help preserve the region’s unique terroir, ensuring the production of high-quality Washington state wines.
We use estate grapes and those grown in several premium Washington State AVAs, including the renowned Red Mountain AVA, to craft red, white, sparkling, and rosé wines. Our wines showcase not only our unique winemaking processes but also the vibrant, fruit-forward flavors that locally cultivated wines produce. Our Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc are two great examples of fruit-forward wines. Lone Point Cellars’ Sauvignon Blanc features hints of green apple, honeydew, and other green fruits. At the same time, our Cabernet Sauvignon has intense, lingering dark fruit flavors and offers aromas of dark, aggregated fruits.
You’ll get a taste of these handcrafted wines on our local WA state menu. We offer our guests two options: enjoy a glass with your vineyard dinner or enjoy a glass with your vineyard dinner! Our locally inspired menu is designed to showcase the range of wines in our collection. These dishes pair wonderfully with wines, complementing their distinctive aromas and flavor profiles. For example, our Side by Side Red Blend is the perfect pairing with our seasonal Smoked BBQ Rib Rack.
But our vineyard restaurant also uses these wines as part of our vineyard-to-table dining experience. Just look at our Estate Meat & Cheese Board! Not only does it boast our fresh berries, but also our vineyard wines, paired with Cabernet-soaked white cheddar. It also includes stone-ground mustard made with our Sauvignon Blanc.
Local Favorites
Our vineyard-to-table dining even includes regional favorites! One popular locally inspired menu offering is our Cougar Gold Cheese Dip. Cougar Gold™ is a rich, white cheddar cheese that’s produced at Washington State University’s creamery. It’s known (and loved!) for its smooth, firm texture and for having unique depth and intensity. We blend their world-famous cheese, pepperoncini, and our house seasonings to create a dip that you’ll be dreaming of for weeks to come!
Our Tasting Room also features a variety of seafood dishes, including our guest-favorite Fish & Chips, which highlights the region’s abundance of fresh seafood.
